What We Do
Student Shadow Match is an online platform that provides opportunities for aspiring students to shadow healthcare professionals. By “matching” a student’s medical interests with a corresponding professional in that field, this platform hopes to cultivate the experiences of young people with career goals in healthcare. Our program expands access to healthcare careers for students who may not have existing connections with healthcare professionals and helps them manage the necessary forms and requirements needed to shadow at hospitals and clinics.

About Us
Student Shadow Match was founded by Koan Kyung, a student at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco. While navigating his own journey to find a shadowing experience, Koan discovered just how difficult and complicated the process could be. That frustration became the foundation for something bigger. Student Shadow Match makes it easier for aspiring students to explore healthcare careers - no matter who they know or where they start.
